Chef Mark Martin’s former Sous Chef was hired as Chef at Lotus Bar & Eatery in Gastonia, and it was through that networking that Chris got his opportunity to go to work there.

He was offered the position of Sous Chef, the kitchen’s second in command -- a highly responsible position for a new culinary graduate which entails not only food preparation but also management of other kitchen personnel, purchasing and inventory.
