"My name is Keisha Ricketts and I graduated in September 2005 with an Associates Degree in Video Production. My early influences is I always played around with my Dad's video camera when I was younger and so I attended the Broadcast/Communication Magnet program at Deerfield Beach High School. It was there where I knew for sure that is the field I wanted to work in. I choose the Art Institute of Ft.Lauderdale after transfering from the University of Florida because they had exactly the program I wanted to study instead of Journalism at UF. I loved the smaller classes and the hands-on experience at AI, that was something that I did not receive at UF.

I learned a lot of skills in a short time and the instructors knew what they were talking about because they still worked in the field themselves. My favorite course was the special effects class because that's where we learned how to do the interesting tricks on video. Currently I am working as a movie editor at Customplay. I love my job and it was AI that helped me to get it. My long term goals is to start my own business making videos for clients and also doing photography."
