About Me:
My interest in fashion dates back to when I was a teenager. I started competing in pageants and my wardrobe was a key essential to my success. My senior year I was crowned Miss Virginia Teen USA, this title included many appearances at various activities. My wardrobe was essential to the image I was to present. I was fortunate to work with different stylists and designers. This experience tended to reinforce and solidify my intense interest in fashion.
When I began my undergraduate studies at The Art Institute of Charlotte, I was fortunate to be exposed to the full range of fashion courses, all of which only enhanced my eagerness to learn. I have also been able to travel both to Milan, Italy and New York City for Fashion Week. This experience enabled me to view the fashion industry on a much larger scale and only reassured me that fashion was my calling in life. My studies at AICH have also included certain subjects in the humanities; they have been both enlightening and enjoyable, providing me with a new perspective on the power of expression through fashion.
Everything about the fashion industry excites me! I am specifically focusing on Fashion Styling and Event Promotion. I am currently working in Event Promotions but can see myself working in the long run as a fashion stylist.
My motto in life is: To Be Rather Than to Seem. Upon completion of my studies, I see myself entering into the workforce to advance my skills, both critical and creative. I hope to continue to further my knowledge in the fashion industry to become successful.
