About Me:
The Art Institute of Charlotte has really changed my view on Interior Design. At first, I thought Interior Design was just decorating rooms and making them look nice. So, going to school for this field sounded like fun. After being educated and developing more of an appreciation for the industry, I now see that it is much more complicated than the everyday person thinks, and there is a difference between decorating and designing.
The courses I have completed at The Art Institute have given me experience designing spaces for; a corporate office, a residential home, a retail store, a restaurant, and a hotel to name a few. These courses have challenged my verbal skills with oral presentations and have allowed me to gain confidence speaking about my designs.
I feel that I have learned many new technical skills while at the same time being able to exercise my current creative skills throughout my enrollment at The Art Institute.
