About Me:
From doodling on my parents walls to painting self portraits of my family, I have always been an artist.
I majored in Business/Marketing my first go round in college, but seemed to always end up with a couple of art classes in the scenario. Jewelry making, sculpting to studying fine arts, I did it all. Business student by day, artist by night was my motto. No matter how hectic my schedule was or how many business plans I had to write, I always found time to work on my "special projects". Even though I excelled in my business classes, I found myself putting more effort towards my art projects than anything I ever did in my "field". After graduating from Winthrop University with my business degree I entered what I called the "cube world." As I sat in my desk from day to day I eventually figured out this would never make me happy. My creativity was becoming somewhat non existent. I had to do something and quick! I went online and researched several area art schools and stumbled across The Art Institute of Charlotte. In my eyes, this was/is the best decision I've ever made. I now have the skills and knowledge to pursue my dream of becoming a designer. I have now entered the world of "design and creativity" and will run, not walk, straight to the top.
