About Me:
Lauren is a recent graduate of the Art Institute of Vancouver, where she earned a diploma of interior design and received the award for 'Best of Show' at the AI graduation portfolio showcase. She is originally from Sun Valley, Idaho, a resort town nestled between large mountains and snowy peaks. Growing up, Lauren received inspiration from the beauty of her natural surroundings as well as from many of the large custom homes that her father built. Having an expert carpenter as a father exposed Lauren to all of the stages of building - from the initial concept to laying the foundation to project completion - which piqued her interest in design and led her on a path to where she is today: a confident, passionate student of the craft.
Lauren still receives her inspiration from nature, but does so with an appreciation of the beauty and efficiency of urban living. Her goal is to combine sustainability with creativity and high style in each and every design. The rings on the pages of her portfolio represent the uniqueness of each tree, and just as each tree is different from all others, every design project is one of a kind, leading to a look, feel and functionality that is as unique as each one of us.
