About Me:
I came to the school with a strong Fine Arts background. The instructors pushed me to develop this skill even further and trained me to become much faster. I am originally from Italy and I found the school in Canada focuses a lot more on practicality and preparation to enter immediately into the work environment. This, in my opinion, is a better way to teach students. I realized I have a very positive attitude when it comes to learning new things. When I began this program I had absolutely no knowledge of computers (I didn't even know what a file was) and I was able to catch up to everyone else and in certain software programs to exceed the others. I am very proud of myself and of my computer instructors. I was blessed because I was in class with other talented people and they inspired and stimulated me to push myself even harder. We had a strong team building experience together. I consider all of them my friends. I always felt supported and guided by my instructors and the other departments such as the financial department, career services and especially my Academic director. In these two years I feel I have also grown as a person. I had to deal with the added obstacle of being a foreigner, studying in a different language and the time constraints of being a mother. I had to learn to optimize my time and manage stress in a positive manner. I believe I did an excellent job in organizing all aspects of my life in an harmonious fashion. In conclusion, when I look back I feel very satisfied with my experience and well prepared for whatever the future will offer me.
