  This course introduces students to the fundamental concepts and techniques of digital photography. It combines basic photography principles of composition and lighting with digital concepts such as exposure evaluation, file formats and image manipulations. This is a perfect course for anyone who wants to improve their photographic skills to capture better photographs.

Course Competencies:

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

- Understand how digital cameras work and the appropriate application of digital capture
- Understand resolution, image compression and file formats
- Select the appropriate f-stop, shutter speed, exposure mode, lens and focal length
- Understand and apply lighting concepts such external flashes and natural light
- Understand and apply the elements of proper composition
